Video Game Pieces
I’ve been in love with classic video game characters since I was a kid, spending my afternoons in the arcade. I love the simplicity of 8-bit images; the limitations of the technology at the time forced the creators to be more creative and I believe this is one of the reasons that many of these characters have become so iconic and are still popular today. The first pieces I created were made with Dum Dums and Jolly Ranchers, and then my later pieces were made with tiny Chiclets. The tiny pieces of gum are perfect pixels. My newer pieces are made on shadow box frames with LED lights inside. The pixels are all made with tiny cubes of resin that have been tinted.
